Every two years for the past 24 years, The Snelling Center has organized and delivered an orientation for newly elected legislators in Vermont.

The New Legislator Orientation program is designed to provide information on the legislature, its budget process, its procedures, caucuses and committees, as well as its interaction with other branches of state government, the media and its constituents.

Just as important, the program is designed to provide an opportunity for new members to meet one another, as well as veteran legislators and the staff members who serve the legislators.

The 2022 Orientation is scheduled for Tuesday – Friday, November 29 – December 2 at the State House in Montpelier. Please click here for the official invitation with additional details.
