Congratulations on your election to the 2017-2018 Session of the General Assembly!
The New Member Orientation program is scheduled for November 30-December 2, 2016. Registration begins at 3:15 p.m. on November 30 in the main lobby of the State House in Montpelier.
The purpose of the orientation program is to provide you with information on the organization of the Legislature, its procedures, caucuses, committees, budgeting processes, scheduling, and many other matters relating to your service in the General Assembly. It is also a chance to meet some of the Legislature’s staff, and one another.
If you wish to stay overnight, the cost of your lodging will be covered. Instructions are enclosed for you to make lodging arrangements.
100 State Street, Montpelier
Meals will be provided as indicated on the agenda.
Partners are welcome to join us for the State House tour and welcome dinner on Wednesday, November 30th evening at Capitol Plaza.
If you plan to stay at Capitol Plaza, you will receive a parking permit from them upon check-in. However, if you will not be staying at Capitol Plaza, please refer to the enclosed parking map. Please park in the green sections on Wednesday and on Governor Aiken Avenue only on Thursday & Friday.
