Congratulations on your election to the 2019-2020 Session of the General Assembly!
The New Member Orientation program is scheduled for November 26-27, 2018. Orientation will begin at 9:15 am with registration opening at 7:15 a.m. in the main lobby, Room 10 and Room 11 of the State House in Montpelier.
The purpose of the orientation program is to provide you with information on the organization of the Legislature, its procedures, caucuses, committees, budgeting processes, scheduling, and many other matters relating to your service in the General Assembly. It is also a chance to meet some of the Legislature’s staff, and one another.
If you wish to stay overnight on Sunday, Monday and/or Tuesday nights, the cost of your lodging will be covered. Please call Capitol Plaza to make your own reservation and reference “Snelling Center New Member Orientation” as they are holding a block of rooms for this event. Reservations should be made by November 14th.

Meals will be provided as indicated on the agenda.
Partners are welcome to join us for the State House tour on Monday and either or both dinners.
Dress is business casual.

If you plan to stay at Capitol Plaza, you will receive a parking permit from them upon check-in. However, if you will not be staying at Capitol Plaza, please park on Governor Aiken Avenue only on Monday and Tuesday. Click here for a parking map.
